How Commercial Service got 600+ people interested in their new product

Project: Promote and drive interest of new product.

Project Date: May 2020.

Objective: Create awareness and provide information in a timely manner to promote an air purifier that reduces the spread of SARS-CoV-2.

Background: Commercial Service, an HVAC & plumbing service provider, launched a new product, a whole home air purifier, in May 2020. A month later new research was released. This research proved the product reduced the spread of SARS-CoV-2, and our team quickly adjusted our marketing strategy and promotions to reflect this timely information.

Solution: We first updated our marketing strategy to emphasize the affordability, quick installation, and new research behind the air purifier. We created a landing page, info kit, paid social ads, and targeted emails to have multiple touchpoints with our client’s customer base.

Website and Info Kit

  • The landing page on the website had the third-highest unique pageviews.
  • The blog post “Whole Home Air Purifier Kills COVID-19” launched in June 2020. This blog was the second highest-performing during this time period.
  • 278 people requested the info kit and 662 people showed interest in the air purifier by engaging with the landing page (clicking on a link, filling out a form, etc.) from May 2020 - November 2023.

Social Media
Expanded reach and created awareness for this new product by running Facebook ads from June 2020 - March 2021.

  • Total reach was 53,920.
  • Total impressions were 994,928.

Email Marketing

  • Our first email went out on June 16, 2020. This email had a total open rate of 28% and a click-through-rate of 3%. This email announced industry-leading ionization testing results with a new offer for a whole home in-duct air purifier.
  • On February 12, 2021, we sent out an email to offer free reimbursement for local businesses, not-for-profit, and government units. This email had a total open rate of 30% and a click-through-rate of 3%.
